So far so good, I’ve done already some tests but haven’t mounted yet in its surveillance spot, the plastic feels kinda sturdy, it’s not made of that shiny plastic that would make it look cheap and yes the power cord is very short but I totally recommend buying one of those passive poe splitters and you won’t have trouble. The camera hardware is good, and item does support ONVIF, and was well packed. However, the firmware in the camera and the app linked to in the manual are very poor quality. The camera can only be accessed via browser from a Windows PC (no Mac or Linux), and even from Windows, you have to install dodgy unsigned software to even be able to change settings on the camera, let alone view video. Tip for users of this camera: If you want to assign a Static IP address for WiFi usage using RTSP stream, then after some experiments I got it working by: 1. Use ICSee app on mobile to set WiFi SSID & password. This step might be obsolete and you might be able to use only CMS starting with wired LAN as I did first, but this is how WiFi started working for me. 2. Use recent (3.1.0.9) CMS.exe application on Windows to connect to camera via Ethernet (try 192.168.1.10 or DHCP) or WiFi (DHCP from Step 1). Add camera, use ‘Search IP’ feature. 3. In CMS – Remote Config – System – Network (for wired LAN) setup Static IP Address. Note this IP address will also bind to the WiFi adapter (strangely enough), also after a reboot. So basically with this Step the goal is achieved 🙂
